When the surgery is closed an answer phone message will give you a number of who to call in cases on an emergency.
Nights and Weekends - From Tuesday 17th July 2018, patients across Shropshire who need urgent out of hours medical help or advice will need to call 111.
The NHS 111 service will replace the current out of hours GP telephone access service provided by Shropdoc in line with national policy. The purpose of this change is to provide a consistent integrated approach to urgent care out of hours. If any patient needs to be seen by a clinician urgently before the practice re-opens they will continue to be seen by a local GP or other appropriate clinician.
Depending on the situation the NHS 111 team can connect you to generalist and specialist nurses, GP or even a pharmacist and can arrange face to face appointments should these be needed.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens. Remember to call 999 only in a life limiting emergency e.g. c hest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute etc.
